Low Country Seafood Boil main dish seafood

Having your very own seafood boil is easy with our Carolina Cooker® Seafood Boil Seasoning Pack. Bring on the shellfish of choice with this Low Country classic dish.

Ingredients

  • A large pot of boiling water (about 5 gallons)
  • 1/4 cup of salt
  • 1/2 bag of Carolina Cooker® seafood boil
  • 6 pounds smoked kielbasa sausage
  • 5 pounds new red potatoes
  • 3 large onions, quartered
  • 4 lemons, quartered
  • 3 jalapeño peppers, ribs and seeds removed, sliced
  • 12 ears of corn, each cut into three pieces for easier serving
  • 10 pounds peeled and deveined raw shrimp
  • 3 pounds crab claws and other shellfish of choice

Directions

  1. Put seafood boil mix and salt into the pot. Put in potatoes and onion. After 10 minutes, add corn and sausage.
  2. Add jalapenos and juice of 3 lemons. After 10 more minutes, add crab claws or other shellfish. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Add shrimp. Food is ready when shrimp turn pink. Slice the last lemon to place on top of the servings as garnish.
