Venison Meatloaf main dish Venison Meatloaf Recipe

You gotta try this mouthwatering meatloaf! Step it up a notch by blending the rich & earthly flavors of venison meat instead of traditional beef. This recipe also throws in a dash of the Carolina Cooker® Sweet Southern Bell BBQ Sauce, which will ensure your meatloaf cooks up moist & full of flavor. Goes great with mashed potatoes, garlic bread or enjoyed as a meal all by itself.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground venison
  • 1 tsp oil (for greasing pan)
  • 1 large clove minced garlic
  • 1 cup minced onions
  • ¼ cup minced parsley
  • ¾ tbsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¾ cup Carolina Cooker® Southern Bell BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp spicy brown mustard
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a large mixing bowl add in all the ingredients and mix until incorporated well.
  3. Shape meat mix to a loaf style shape and place it in a greased loaf pan. Cover with aluminum foil
    and Place in the oven and let cook for about 35-40 minutes or until an internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
    Note: For a nice brown top remove the foil after 20 minutes and let cook uncovered
    until done.
  4. Once cooked let rest for about 5-8 minutes and serve.
