A savory blend of spices & meat, this dirty rice or "rice dressing" can make a meal all on its own! One of our favorite southern Louisiana dishes, cooked in our dutch oven it's a cajun delight. Customize the flavors even more by making the rice as spicy or tame as you'd like by stirring in some Carolina Cooker® hot sauce!

Serves: 4-6
Ingredients:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1 bell pepper diced
- 1 cup celery diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons Carolina Cooker® Cajun seasoning
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 ½ cups white rice uncooked
- 3 ½ cups beef broth
- chopped green onion or parsley for garnish
Directions:
- Add ground beef to a dutch oven over medium heat. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add onion, garlic, green pepper, celery, Cajun Seasoning, and salt. Cook until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer covered for about 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
- Allow to sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then fluff with a fork. Garnish with green onions and enjoy!
