Give me cheese, please! Try out this crispy, creamy and downright delicious recipe tonight for the perfect side dish. Combine & cook homemade scalloped potatoes with no cleanup required using our Carolina Cooker cast iron skillets. Great dish to pair with steaks, pork chops or even a meal by itself!

Ingredients

  • 4-6 Yukon Gold potatoes, sliced thin on mandolin
  • 1-1/2 C Heavy Cream
  • 5 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 bunch thyme
  • 3 TBSP Butter
  • 1 C Gruyere, grated
  • Chives

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Add Heavy Cream, garlic, thyme and butter to a pan over medium heat and stir to combine.
  3. Working in batches, add potatoes to milk mixture and then arrange in an overlapping layer on a greased skillet.
  4. Add layers of Gruyere between the potato layers and continue to layer until all potatoes are used then top with remaining Gruyere.
  5. Bake at 50m covered and 10m uncovered or until cheese starts to brown. Serve topped with chives
