Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie

Moist with the crispiest edges - and oh so full of chocolatey goodness! Cast iron bakes up the most irresistible cookies so quick & easy with only a few ingredients. This dessert does not call for rolling or chilling of the dough, just mix everything in a bowl and pour straight into your pan. Customize your skillet cookies by tossing in coconut flakes or cherries for even more flavor. Only thing left to do now is grab a cold glass of milk - and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ cups chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350° degrees
    2. In a large bowl - Combine butter, both sugars, vanilla, salt, baking powder and baking soda
    3. Using a paddle mixer (if available) beat until soft and fluffy; Approximately 8 minutes
    4. Next add the eggs and fold them into the mixture, making sure to add them one at a time
    5. Now add in the all-purpose flour and finish up by folding in the chocolate chips last
    6. Add mixture to your greased 10.5 inch skillet and bake for 25 minutes
