Grannys Biscuits

Nothing comes close to grandma's cooking! Make fresh biscuits from scratch with this simple recipe that uses only three ingredients just like she would make them. Bake a batch of Granny's biscuits to enjoy with jelly or butter anytime you want some delicious homemade food.   • 2/3 cups shortening
  • 4 cups self-rising flour
  • 1-1/4 cup milk


  1. Cut shortening into flour and add milk. Mix together.
  2. Place dough on a flour surface. Knead until smooth.
  3. Roll out approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Cut out biscuits and place on a well-greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 475 degrees until done or well browned.
