Deep frying thermometer's are used to measure temperatures of oils (for deep-frying) and hot sugars and caramels (for candy) . Candy or deep-frying thermometers measure high temperatures usually associated with these cooking techniques, up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 degrees Celsius). This thermometer has a metal clip used to attach the thermometer to the side so you do not have to continuously hold it, thus, keeping your hands & fingers away from hot & bubbly sugars or oils.
