I purchased this Dutch Oven (DO) about 8 months ago and have been very happy with its performance. I bought this particular model for use on a stove and in the oven. The fit of the lid is great and I have been extremely pleased with its performance I use it a few times a month (cooking chicken bog, chilli, pulled pork, and roasting whole chickens). The only negative things I have to say about it is that the country of origin isn’t where I would like it to be, and the interior has about a quarter size rough patch, and there is a line on the inside where the casting isn’t quite as uniform as the rest of the bottom. It’s actually so subtle that I just noticed it probably a week ago. The DO sits flat, and it looks to only be cosmetic as the bottom of it is uniform and doesn’t have any blemishes and I don’t have any issue cooking dishes. The reason I gave it 5 stars despite the blemishes is that A. They don’t in any way (that I can see) affect the performance, and B. The price is right. Often times people have unrealistic expectations of price vs performance/finish. Competitors sell DOs with 5 quart capacity for about equal the price and if you try and buy a 7 qt oven you will be close to double. Bottom line is that it may be a little rough around the edges, but it’s priced right and it works flawlessly. It’s a piece of equipment that you don’t have to be afraid of damaging and will last you a long time if taken care of properly. — H.E. from SC
